Stains
should be added in quantities of 2-10 % in glaze or 1-5 % in bodies , slips,
and engobes, according to strength of colour required. An addition of 5% to glaze or 2% to a body, slip and engobes will in general give colours of medium intensity. It should be noted that the precise shades vary with firing temperatures and type of glaze or body used. Some colours can be intermixed between each range, but to avoid technical difficulties in application, it is advised that only colours from the same composition could be mixed together. |
| The products are available in packs 250 gram, 1 kg, 5 kgs, 10 kgs and bucket 50 kgs. |

AMARIN
Liquid Underglaze Colours (High Temp.) Brilliant, ready-to-use colours, add water if needed. The colours are used for brush painting, spraying on greenware or biscuit before applying a covering glaze. For opaque coverage by brushing, the consistency of the colour in the jar is correct. Since the colours are approximately the same tone before and after firing, the effectiveness of colour combinations and blending is observed as the painting progresses. |
| The transparent covering
glazes are applied on decorated greenware or bisque shapes, and the pieces
fired to the maturing temperature of the glaze. The colours are given great
success in firing between 1000-1300 °C. AMARIN Powder Underglaze Colours (High Temp.) The colours should be mixed with a suitable water based media such as underglaze media P-526, P-520, P-571 or P-533. Product packaging: Liquid Form are in bottles 100 gram, 500 gram and buckets 5 kgs.and 25 kgs. Powder Form are in pack 5 kgs. and bucket 50 kgs. |

The decorating colours can be applied to earthenware, bone china, and vitreous china by all techniques such as painting, edging, spraying, and screen printing. The colours are fired onto the temperature between 700-800 °C depending on the glaze and firing conditions. On porcelain, the maximum firing temperature is limited to 800-820 °C due to the resistance of the cadmium colours No 150, 151 and 152. |
| For screen printing, we recommend
the following oil mediums: - Direct screen printing medium No. 25450, screen printing medium, oily - Indirect screen printing medium No. 25810, screen printing medium for intensive colour prints, suitable for surface and half tone printing, normal drying. |

| The products are available in powder. We also provide the onglaze colours in liquid form, water base for painting which contain in bottle 100 gram, 250 gram, 1 kg and 5 kgs. |

| The speckles derived from
the controlling particle sizes of the stains. Speckle should be added to
the glaze or to the screen printing paste by simple stirring. - sanitary ware and art ceramics: simple stirring of the glaze slip; - tile : mixing with the glaze slip or with the screen printing paste or application by sprinkling. Depending on the desired effect, one or more different coloured speckles may be added. Please note that grinding will destroy the speckle effect: |

Bright/Burnish
Precious Metal Preparations are vanish-like organic compounds containing
precious metals, combined with flux components based on organic metal
compounds. The flux compounds act as adhesion promoters. |

Bright Gold, which develops a typical reddish-yellow gold shade
after firing, and contains a small proportion of silver.Preparation has
a fine gold content of 6% to 15%. Preparations with a fine gold content
of less than 6% are designated as lustres. A dull precious metal film is formed
after firing, which develops a satin surface by subsequent burnishing
with a glass fiber brush, sand, or other compacting materials. Burnish
PM Preparations are classified as matt preparations and are subdivided
into: Preparations to be applied by spray gun, brush and hand stamping require low viscosity, while those processed by screen printing or other mechanical application methods require high viscosity. Bright PM/Burnish PM Preparation are generally supplied ready for use. If desired, suitable thinning oils can be added to adjust the viscosity. Firing conditions depend on the type of body to be decorated. As the organic compounds in the preparation decompose during firing, good ventilation of the kiln (surplus of oxygen in the kiln atmosphere) must be assured during the entire process, at least up to 500 °C. Firing conditions common in the ceramic

Lusters are vanish-like preparations,
based on metal and/or precious metal containing organic compounds, with
resin solutions as film former. When fired on porcelain, earthenware,
enamel, tiles, or glass they produce very thin, intensive coloured and
lustrous layers, which give them their metallic iridescent finish. |
|
Lusters can contain up to 6% gold as well as silver, platinum and palladium. They are classified according to colour shade and precious metal content, as well as according to their special effects, as indicated by their classification as craquelling or marbling lusters, running lusters, and halo lusters. |

The variety of application techniques as well as the number of different types of body to be decorated make it necessary to supply several different consistencies to obtain optimal processing and firing characteristics. |
